2016 LEGO CHRISTMAS DISPLAY ADORNS THE WHITE HOUSE

The Obama’s recently unveiled the 2016 Christmas decorations adorning the White House this festive season. The First Lady Michelle Obama chose Bryan Rafanelli (veteran event planner) to plan and fit out each room. For us LEGO nuts the interesting part was the inclusion of over 200,000 Lego bricks in the State Dining Room.

The LEGO was used to create 56 individual gingerbread houses representing each state and territory, Two giant gingerbread men and a paper chain connecting them on the mantelpiece.

From the few pictures I’ve seen the display looks amazing (thanks to Reuters for the images in this blog).

If anyone is privileged enough to visit the display I would love to see images of all 56 individual gingerbread houses – feel free to drop me a line.

Happy Building!
