LEGO EDUCATION PANAMA CANAL 2000451 GLOBALLY AVAILABLE

LEGO EDUCATION PANAMA CANAL 2000451 GLOBALLY AVAILABLE

Back in November last year I bought you the news of a cool educational set being produced as part of a special release to commemorate the reopening of the expanded Panama Canal (2000451). The set has been designed around the new Neopanamax locks and shows how the lock mechanism works lowering and raising the water levels assisting vessels transiting through the canal between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Well massive thanks to Juan (follower of All About The Brick) for his heads up – for this set can now be bought direct from Panama Stem with global shipping options. This now means anyone outside of Panama can grab this set half the price currently listed on Bricklink and substantially less than eBay.

Well worth heading over to the website and ordering if you’re a LEGO Educational fan/collector, while pricey this is a special set and a little bit history in the making.

Happy Building!

  1. “he lock mechanism works lowering and raising the water levels assisting vessels transiting through the canal between the Indian and Atlantic oceans.” I am sorry but the Oceans that are connected by the canal are the Pacific and Atalntinc ocean, the Indian Ocean is located south of the Asian continent whereas the Panama Canal is located in Central America.

    1. Thanks Luis – Considering I’m a Hydrographic Surveyor you’d think I would be spot on. Sorry typo – thanks for letting me know!

  2. Hey Rusty. Juan here. It’s really great news for lego collectors and teachers looking for Lego Education resourses. Thanks for posting this update.
