LEGO IDEAS – MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SITE LDD FILE

As some of you may be aware back in 2016 a really cool modular set designed by Ryantaggert made it to 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Sadly after an extensive review by LEGO Ideas panel “Modular Construction Site” didn’t make it through to our shop shelves. I personally was quite upset as I really did love this set and knew it would fit wonderfully in my ever growing city layout!

Well here comes the awesome news – Ryan has kindly made the LEGO Digital Designer LXF file available for free download (Construction Site Modular). Now we can recreate this beauty at home anyone joining me?

Note – Thanks to Brickset for the initial heads up.

Happy Building!

    1. Hi Ben,

Seems the file is hit and miss.
Some open it ok and some have an issue.

Drop me a line through “Contact me” on the webpage with your email address and I will email through the excel file as well.

  1. I’ve got it to open in LDD. Getting it to upload to BrickLink to start ordering parts is presenting itself as a major headache.

    1. Hi Ben,
I’ve been having issues as well.
Looks like there are some pieces that don’t exist in the colour palette in LDD.
Best thing to do is export to excel spreadsheet and check off the each piece to ensure it exists.

      1. Exactly. I’ve got a pretty good XML for Bricklink now, and I’ll just find the error parts when I go through the steps. I’m sure it’s color variations or minifig heads or something.

        1. If I can get mine checked in the next few days (subject to kids letting Dad have time on the PC) I’ll send it through to you.
