After the success of the LEGO Ideas Big Bang Theory set 21302 and Doctor Who 21304, TV show themed LEGO sets have proven to be popular with the Adult community. The next LEGO Ideas design to hit the 10,000 supporter mark has taken a leaf out of this book and designed a clever set based around the US TV sitcom – NBC’s The Office. Note – Being British there will only ever be one “The Office” starring Ricky Gervais.

The creator Lego The Office has been a massive fan of the US version and has enjoyed and memorized every line and mishap over all 9 seasons. Throw in the fact the creator is a mad LEGO fan and it seems inevitable that the creator designed and built this cool little set and uploaded it to LEGO IDEAS.

From the Creator:

“This set is comprised of the main office space (e.g. – Reception, the Sales Team, Accounting), Michael’s office, the Conference Room and Darryl’s office.  Each of the rooms is designed to be modular, so they can be connected together easily or separated.  There are also a lot of details for longtime office fans who want to recreate their favorite episodes or make new ones.

  • Michael’s Golden Dundie
  • Michael’s Hats (a Turban for his Johnny Carson impersonation, a beret to be Date Mike, a Top Hat for Magic Mike and a Santa Hat)
  • Dwight’s Bobble head in Jell-O (Pranks!)
  • Angela’s Cats
  • Kevin’s Candy Jar and Pizza (from Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe)
  • Creed’s guitar
  • Michael’s “World’s Best Boss” mug
  • Kelly’s Cellphone
  • Meredith’s Water Bottle
  • Briefcases
  • Pam’s Ring (which fits in Jim’s suitcase)
  • Stanley’s Crossword and Pretzel
  • Erin’s plant
  • Dwight’s Bow (hidden) and a bear
  • Andy’s Mic and Guitar
  • Phyllis’ sewing needles
  • Pam’s painting palette and brush
  • Jim’s Basketball
  • Watercooler
  • Photocopier
  • A hole where Andy punched the wall (regulaTechnic piece)
  • Desks, Swiveling Chairs, Phones, Computers and mugs for all the staff
  • A Christmas tree, holiday gift boxes, Santa Hat and Beard for Michael or Phyllis, Elf Ears for Dwight and a Snowman to scare Jim”

Though the set looks huge it only comes in at 1,723 parts including 17 primary cast members. Will be interesting to see LEGO Ideas appetite for another TV Show themed set and how easy it will be to get licensing rights.

“NBC’s The Office” is the seventh LEGO Idea to make the first 2017 review panel followed by “Sega Classic Arcade Games”, “The Blues Mobile“, “Dungeon Master”, “Red Arrow Hawk”, “Venetian Houses“ and “Jeep Wrangler Rubicon”.

Remember to support all those aspiring LEGO builders out there on LEGO Ideas.

Happy Building!
