LEGO DIVERS TAKE REAL WORLD DIVE THANKS TO PREMIER OIL AND SUBSEA 7

LEGO DIVERS TAKE REAL WORLD DIVE THANKS TO PREMIER OIL AND SUBSEA 7

Thanks to Energy Voice and a work colleague I came across a cool little story in the Industry I work in – oil and gas (renewables as well don’t judge me!). This story all started with a dedicated father (MacNeill Ferguson) and his two young lads (Ollie and Harry) who pulled together a cool 500 adventure wish list called The Days Are Just Packed. Over time their list has grown and the adventures have come in all shapes and sizes. Their latest…

GUEST BLOG – LEGO IDEAS SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM BLOCK 1 ROCKET

GUEST BLOG – LEGO IDEAS SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM BLOCK 1 ROCKET

As a Lego and NASA enthusiast, this 1.2 meter Space Launch System Rocket set proposal has honestly blown me away. Each and every human from the dawn of time has looked toward the final frontier and has dreamed of visiting the stars. Only until about fifty years ago has this become possible with the many outer-space missions and most recently the Space Launch System program. LEGO and Outer-space traveling go together extremely well because both involve creativity and design and…

LEGO IDEAS – FIRST 2017 REVIEW WINNER – TRON LEGACY LIGHT CYCLE

LEGO IDEAS – FIRST 2017 REVIEW WINNER – TRON LEGACY LIGHT CYCLE

The results (few days back!) are in for the first 2017 review of LEGO Ideas and the winner is – Tron Legacy Light Cycle by BrickBros UK and I couldn’t be happier. After the recent round of large LEGO Ideas sets (not including Women of Nasa) I can finally not worry about my wallet when I grab this awesome little set. For those that don’t know Tron Legacy is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s a riot of retro colour…

INAUGURAL PRESSSTUD MONTHLY BULK BOX REVIEW

INAUGURAL PRESSSTUD MONTHLY BULK BOX REVIEW

Everyone loves a success story especially when it means we have another way to get our hands on some cool LEGO. Well this story is home grown in Australia and started back in October this year when Lara Hart (PressStuds Facebook Group) decided, after trying in vain to find a genuine LEGO parts mystery box, to test the water and create her own LEGO mystery bulk box. The premise being no cheap printed t-shirts, random stickers or other potential “white…

GUEST BLOG – LEGO STAR WARS FOOSBALL TABLE

GUEST BLOG – LEGO STAR WARS FOOSBALL TABLE

As a Star Wars/foosball/Lego fan, I must say this little Lego Star Wars foosball table project has swept me off my feet. There is no mystery that every Lego lover wants to make a pocket version of their favorite thing, from cars to houses and the perfect thing is that Lego allows us that. That is why I was absolutely impressed with this foosball table and later in the article, you will see why. This foosball table is a pocket…

NEW GUEST BLOG SERIES

NEW GUEST BLOG SERIES

Since I started All About The Brick (AATB) a year and half ago I have posted just over 215 articles which has been a BIG, but massively enjoyable commitment. Through the journey I have had various people reach out asking if they could join AATB and become a blogger bringing additional material, different style and news on all things LEGO. Now while I’m not willing to let go of the reins it does pose an interesting opportunity to build on…

ROUND 3 TO LEGO AGAINST LEPIN CLONE BRAND

ROUND 3 TO LEGO AGAINST LEPIN CLONE BRAND

Just over a year ago AATB brought the news (Round 2 to LEGO against the Evil LEPIN) that LEGO had confirmed that the LEGO Group was taking legal action against Lepin in the Chinese court system. Well 13 months later and LEGO has drawn first blood with the Chinese court system finally confirming that LEGO is a “well-known” trademark in China and opening the door to hunt down counterfeit brands! for more information see the full update from LEGO Group below: The…

LEGO TAJ MAHAL MAKING A SURPRISE COMEBACK

LEGO TAJ MAHAL MAKING A SURPRISE COMEBACK

LEGO blindsided everyone with a big surprise announcement that LEGO CREATOR Taj Mahal will be re-released on the 27th November (Cyber Monday). The set will retail at AUD $499.99 / USD $369.99 / GBP £299.99. Note – prices are based on the LEGO online shop. The set is identical to the previous set, but includes 1 extra element which I suspect is the brick separator tool. It’s been discussed extensively but I think the sudden surprise re-release of this set confirms LEGO’s desire to…

REVIEW – LEGO CREATOR ASSEMBLY SQUARE 10255 + LED MAGIC

REVIEW – LEGO CREATOR ASSEMBLY SQUARE 10255 + LED MAGIC

After running this blog for a year and half (time flies), I just realised that I hadn’t done a review yet on any of the LEGO Creator Modular Building Series. Considering that my first purchase as an AFOL was the LEGO Creator Detective’s Office (10246) seems I’ve done LEGO and myself a disservice! Well what better way to break this drought than to jump straight in the deep end and build/review the 10 year anniversary Modular – LEGO Creator Assembly…

LEGO DIMENSIONS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED

LEGO DIMENSIONS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED

After a months of speculation Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and LEGO have announced that LEGO Dimensions has been officially cancelled. While there will be no more expansion packs released existing packs will continue to be sold (pending stock) and the game server will be maintained for the foreseeable future. While for some this will be a sad day (especially my kids) I for one liked the game and all the great 80’s cult classic icons we got in…
